Merkel Farms is an equestrian barn located in Bowie, Maryland, dedicated to providing equine training and education to DMV residents of all ages. Following my decision to return to my love for riding, I spent the remainder of my high school years at Merkel and enjoyed every moment I spent in the barn. I had the privilege of working at Merkel during my winter term where expanded my love for horses beyond just riding and learned how to care for and maintain their spaces of living.
